The advantages of the WeeRide Kangaroo is that your child is close to you, which is not the case with trailers. If there were an accident you would be quickly able to grab your child. The seat is made of injection-molded plastic form, and it features a comfortable padded foam seat, height adjustable foot cups, and a fully adjustable three-point security harness.

The disadvantages of the WeeRide Kangaroo are that the position of the seat, makes it VERY difficult to pedal the bike. Do not expect to be able to ride for miles with the WeeRide installed. Next, the bike gear changers are right in front of the little one, making them nice play toys during a ride. Finally, the seat does not fit on all bikes (especially mountain bikes), click here for a more information on bike specifications.

In conclusion, if you can get over the few disadvantages, the WeeRide Kangaroo is a very capable child bike seat. I personally would go with a child seat that keeps the child close rather than a trailer where there is no interaction.

My Rating:

Ahh, baby has finally fallen asleep. Time to do the dishes/eat dinner/go to sleep…but wait! Is that the baby waking up? Is she coughing? Is she breathing?

Every new parent (and one or two veteran ones, too) knows this scenario. It’s lovely when your baby sleeps, but it sure would be nice to keep an eye on her, too. But there aren’t too many parents around who have the luxury of sitting quietly in baby’s bedroom, watching her sleep. This is why baby monitors were invented. And traditional audio monitors are a terrific boon to modern parents. But the Day and Night Handheld Color Video Monitor—now here is technology at its finest! Below is a video of the Day and Night Handheld in action.

I love having a video monitor and being able to see that my daughter is breathing. This device gives a clear picture and very good sound.
